Prairie View Middle School

This new 2-story, 138,000 SF middle school accommodates 1,000 students in grades six through eight, and is located adjacent to Prairie View High School. The high school/middle school campus was designed to allow for shared amenities including parking, playfields, and a large non-potable irrigation pond.

This LEED Gold building utilizes energy saving measures such as an ice storage system for air conditioning, a high efficiency boiler system, controlled daylighting, and additional insulation values in the exterior walls and roof. The daylighting exists within all teaching spaces, as well as within a majority of the public circulation areas.
